In the space between stories
The Norwegian Doom Metal trio returns with "Interlude," a track that exists in the space between the old and new, marking a departure from the previous trilogy of heavy albums: Repose, Medusa Truth Part 1, and Medusa Truth Part 2.
"Interlude" offers a moment of suspension. It is largely instrumental, a progressive and orchestral drift where the music itself becomes the narrator. It has no lyrics, and Cecilie Langlie's voice emerges as texture, weaving through the soundscape like a choir, contrasting with Tom Simonsen's guitars and orchestral arrangements.
It is a departure, yet unmistakably Omit: melancholic, expansive, and steeped in the same emotional gravity that has defined their work since 2009. It is a bridge built of sound, inviting the listener to pause and reflect before diving back into the epic saga that follows.
